About RandomNum
RandomNum is a small, free toolkit built around one opinion: if a site says "random", it should be able to explain exactly what that means.
What it does
The site generates random integers, dice rolls, coin flips, lottery-format quick picks, name draws and decimals. Everything runs in your browser — there is no server deciding your numbers, no account, and nothing you generate is sent or stored anywhere.
How it draws
All randomness comes from crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random source, mapped onto ranges with rejection sampling so no outcome is favoured by modulo bias. The engine is a single shared module used by every tool on the site, and it was distribution-tested before launch: 100,000 draws over 1–10 finished within 1.67% of even per value (counts 9,853–10,167 against 10,000 expected), and 60,000 d20 rolls within 3.90% of even per face (counts 2,883–3,087 against 3,000 expected).
What we won't claim
A browser CSPRNG is a pseudo-random generator — superbly seeded and unpredictable in practice, but not a physical true-random source and not an audited drawing machine. We won't tell you it can improve lottery odds (nothing can), pick "luckier" numbers, or replace certified processes for regulated draws and key generation. Where a tool has a real limit, the page says so.
Who runs it
RandomNum is part of a family of free, single-purpose tools built and maintained by Jimmy | ORBITFRAME, an independent front-end developer. The sister tools linked in the footer are built to the same rules: original code and copy, everything local, and the method written on the page. Pro ($9/mo) is planned for power features like bigger batches and saved presets; it is not on sale yet and no payment is taken anywhere on this site.
