RandomNum

Random Name Picker

Paste a list — one name per line — and draw winners. The list is shuffled with the same unbiased engine as the number tools, and it never leaves this tab: close the page and it's gone.

How the draw works

The picker runs a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle: for each winner slot, it draws one name uniformly from the names not yet chosen, using the site's rejection-sampling engine — the method that guarantees no modulo bias. Winners cannot repeat within a draw, blank lines are ignored, and duplicate names in your list are treated as separate entries (two "Sam"s are two tickets). Drawing several winners at once gives an ordered result: first drawn listed first.

FAQ

Is my list uploaded or stored?
No. The list exists only in this page's memory. Refresh and it is cleared.
Can a name win twice?
Not within one draw — unless you pasted it twice, in which case each line counts as its own entry.
Is this fair enough for a prize?
For classroom picks, team draws and informal giveaways, yes. For regulated promotions, use a certified drawing service and keep an audit trail.
