Random Number 1–100
The hundred range: raffles, giveaways, percentage-style picks and classroom draws. Preset to 1–100 with the full generator underneath — every value from 1 to 100 equally likely, by construction.
The giveaway workhorse
Most informal draws live here: a hundred raffle tickets, a "pick a number between 1 and 100" post, a random percentage for a mock grade. Tick "No duplicates" when several winners come from the same pool, and "Sort results" when you want to read them off against a numbered list. Running a draw from names rather than ticket numbers? The name picker shuffles a list directly, and the lottery generator handles the big games' formats.
How the evenness is kept honest at this range: the engine draws one byte (256 values), accepts only the first 200 — exactly two complete sets of 1–100 — and redraws the rest. Two ways for every number to occur, none for a bias to sneak in.
FAQ
- Can I generate a full shuffled 1–100?
- Yes: set "How many" to 100 and tick "No duplicates" (leave "Sort results" off). You get every number once, in draw order.
- Why 200 accepted byte values and not 256?
- 256 does not divide evenly by 100. Accepting all 256 would give numbers 1–56 three chances each and 57–100 only two — a visible bias. Rejecting 56 values removes it.
- Is this fair enough for a prize draw?
- For informal giveaways, yes. For anything regulated or valuable, use a certified, auditable drawing process and publish your rules in advance.
